Quick Update

Got in a good run this morning. The weather was OK: high 30's but relatively humid without too much wind. It spat rain for the last half of the run, but nothing too bad. Overall, a much better day for running than I anticipate tomorrow to be. They're calling for a very windy day, which makes running not only more difficult, but more annoying. Wind makes your eyes water, which just complicates things.

Tomorrow is going to be cold in the morning, down in the 20's, which will be made much worse if it's windy. And normally I would just take tomorrow as a rest day, but I have several factors that may influence my decision:

1. I'm going to Connecticut for meetings all day on Thursday and my train leaves Baltimore at 7:30 AM, which means moving up my morning routine by 30 minutes. Thus, if I want to run on Thursday, I'll be heading out even earlier than usual. However, I'll have three hours on the Acela to nap on the way up to Stamford.

2. I'm going out to lunch tomorrow at an El Salvadoran restaurant that has HUGE portions that are delicious. I want to make sure I can fully attack the food and running 5 miles tomorrow morning would stoke the furnace that is my metabolism now.

So, I am conflicted. I'd like to get another 5 miles out of the way for the week so maybe the weather won't be as crappy as they're predicting. We'll see.
