Sleep over Fitness

The best laid plans of mice and men...

I had fully intended to get up early this morning and get a nice 10 miler in to start my day, but that was not meant to be. First, I was up late planning my camping trip in August out to Shenandoah National Park and thus, lost several precious hours of sleep on the front side. I woke up at 6 AM feeling awful, but that's nothing out of the ordinary as no matter how long I sleep or what time I wake up, I always seem to feel bad until I actually get up out of bed.

It was a cool 68 degrees out this morning and while it was humid, it would have been fine for running. But I was too tired and haven't slept in for a few weeks now, so I turned my alarm off and went back to bed for another 5 hours. I must have really needed it! So, now I feel much better, fully rested and all. There's always next Sunday for long runs.

Now, it's off to get a shower and then spend the afternoon studying CFA material before heading out to Frederick for a Keys' game with the parents for Father's Day.
