After a month of March temps and seemingly daily rain, the weather seems to have broken for a few days and given us a great Memorial Day weekend! Today was a beautiful day for running: cloudless, 60 degrees with a slight breeze.
I got up and headed out around 8:45 to beat the tourists that are sure to choke the Inner Harbor this afternoon. I did my usual 5 mile route, but not running for 7 days cost me some of my already limited fitness and I had to stop a couple times and be satisfied with 4.8 miles. However, my pace wasn't horrible all things considered. This week was just nuts at work and with Annie leaving so I really need to focus from here on out.
Tomorrow I may actually go to the gym and swim/bike rather than do my long run. Then I'll do my long run on Monday morning since I have Memorial Day off and it's supposed to be even better weather on Monday than today or tomorrow. We'll see what I feel like doing.
